Montessori “Flags of the World” Cards
With these printable Montessori “Flags of the World” research cards, kids will be able to draw each country’s flag and record any important information about its symbols. They can then create a “Flags of the World” book using the cards they’ve created throughout the school year.
Tools you’ll need
How to Use
- Print the flag-making cards. Cut apart.
- Using the The Flag Book, read the history behind each country’s flag.
- Then draw the country’s flag on the printable “Flags of the World” cards.
- Write the name of the country and record the important symbols associated with each country’s flag.
- To create a “Flags of the World” book, you can either attach each completed flag-making card onto a ring binder clip or use book-binding techniques to create a miniature book.
Not only will your kids learn a bit about each country’s history and culture, but making “Flags of the World” cards will also teach your kids about important math skills such as measuring, estimating, fractions, and symmetry.
Plus, implementing art projects such as card-making is an excellent way to spend some quality time together as a family.
