How to Use the Curriculum
There is no single “right” way to use Global Explorers.
Some families:
- Explore 1-2 countries per month
- Use the curriculum family-style across multiple ages
- Incorporate the lessons during morning basket time
- Follow rabbit trails based on their child’s interests
At its heart, Global Explorers is designed to help you create fun and memorable learning experiences with your children through books, discussion, exploration, and hands-on activities as you learn more about the world together.
What You’ll Need
Global Explorers is a literature-based curriculum.
That means our lessons often reference a variety of books, videos, documentaries, recipes, and outside resources that families source independently.
You do not need every recommended resource to use the curriculum successfully.
Many families:
- Borrow books from the library
- Substitute similar books they already own
- Skip activities that don’t fit their family
- Adapt lessons for different ages
That said, if you plan to use Global Explorers over an extended period of time, there are a few books and resources we highly recommend to help you get the most out of the curriculum.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, start simple.
Choose:
- One country
- One mapwork activity
- One book or folk tale
- One cultural project
That’s enough.
The goal of Global Explorers is not to “do everything.”
It’s to help families slow down, explore the world together, and create memorable learning experiences through curiosity, connection, and discovery.
As you continue exploring the world with us, you’ll naturally begin to find a rhythm that works for your family. You may begin noticing your children making connections between cultures, stories, geography, science, and the world around them in ways you didn’t expect.
However you choose to use the curriculum, we’re so glad you’re here.
At the Global Explorers Club, we believe every child’s curiosity is worth cultivating. Our geography homeschool curriculum is built to be flexible, offering your family the freedom to explore each country at your own pace and in a way that suits your interests. Whether you dive into every recommended activity or simply focus on those that capture your family’s interest the most, our goal is to nurture a lifelong passion for learning and connection to the world we live in.
