Lesson

Students will learn about the geography of Kenya by labeling key locations and features on a blank map.

Supplies & Materials

• Blank map of Kenya (one per student)
• Pencils or pens
• Colored pencils or markers
• Reference map of Kenya
• Globe or world map (optional)

Activity

Students will find and label all the key locations and features listed on the Mapwork Activity sheet, using a reference map as needed. Encourage students to use colored pencils or markers to make their maps visually appealing and easy to read. They may choose to add illustrations or notes to make their maps even more fun and interesting.

Review & Discussion

Ask questions to reinforce learning:

1. Which city is the capital of Kenya, and where is it located?
2. What is significant about Mount Kenya?
3. Which body of water lies to the west of Kenya?
4. Name two major national parks or reserves in Kenya.
